Mission: CONNECT Ministry Area

The mission of the Music Ministry is to lead and engage the congregation in a meaningful worship experience through music, by creating an atmosphere in which the gospel can most effectively be preached.

Why This Ministry is Needed: 

• “Music should create an atmosphere in which the Gospel can be effectively preached”…. (Quote from Rev. Cochran, Rev. Kevin Traynor’s childhood pastor in Louisville, KY).

• Music is used to prepare the heart of worshippers and the music leaders (i.e. the choir) to encounter the presence of God through singing.

• Create a worship Experience, to bring attention to the living God.

• Music is a tool that Engages the church to lift up the name of Jesus in a clear and concise way.

• Music is a tool that Equips. Scripture, theology, and Christian principles can be taught through sacred music.

• Music is a tool that Encompasses. Music in the church should be used to present “the unsearchable riches of Jesus Christ” to everyone.
